Rune’s notable public sculptures include the 2021 ‘Olive Twist’ landmark in Żejtun, a 4-meter stainless steel piece inspired by Maltese silver filigree and ancient olive trees, funded by Malta’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure. Other significant works include the Malta-Australia Child Memorial ('Hope'), a 7-meter paper boat inaugurated in Valletta in 2007, and the bronze 'Embryonic Horse', inaugurated in 2024.

His creative journey also encompasses experimental projects such as the 2013 Malta Arts Fund-awarded ‘Popcorn’ public artwork, which explored innovative concrete casting techniques. His sculptures were also featured in Malta Design Week.
